How our commercial jump start works

    Step 1

    Call dispatch

One phone number, 24/7. You get a real human, an ETA, and a firm price before we roll.

    Step 2

    Nearest truck rolls

We stage across DFW — Alliance, DFW cargo, South Dallas, GSW Industrial — so most metro calls see a tech in 30–45 minutes.

    Step 3

    Heavy-duty jump

Lithium jump pack rated for high cranking amps, 24V-safe with isolated banks. Surge-protected clamps to keep your ECU alive.

    Step 4

    Charging-system check

Free voltage read on the alternator so you know whether the jump gets you home or the bank needs to be replaced today.

Why diesel trucks need specialized jump equipment

Yes — a properly-equipped mobile crew can jump a diesel tractor, and the equipment matters more than the truck size. Diesel engines crank at higher compression and need a much bigger current burst than a passenger car battery pack can deliver. Our commercial lithium jump packs put out sustained cranking amperage sized for Class 8 tractors, and the clamps are surge- and reverse-polarity-protected so a jump can't spike your ECU, DEF controller, or telematics module.

Many commercial rigs run 24V starter systems with two 12V Group 31 batteries wired in series and often a third or fourth for hotel loads. Jumping a 24V truck with a 12V consumer pack is how alternators get cooked. We carry isolated 24V-capable packs and follow the SAE J1494 jump-start sequence on every commercial call — ground away from the battery box, positive first, dwell before crank, disconnect in reverse.

Battery boxes on Freightliner, Peterbilt, Kenworth, and Volvo cabs sit behind cab skirts or under the step — we bring long-reach cables and the right torque bits so we're not fighting a 10mm nut in the dark on the shoulder of I-35W.

    Commercial roadside capabilities

A jump is often the first ten minutes of the visit. Here's what the truck carries so we don't have to send a second one.

    Battery load test on site

Digital load tester on the driver-side and passenger-side banks so you know if the jump held because the battery is bad or the alternator isn't charging.

    Group 31 & 8D replacement

Common commercial batteries stocked on the truck for same-visit swap when the load test tells you the bank is done.

    Starter & alternator triage

Voltage-drop checks on the starter feed and the alternator output before you tow — often the jump holds and you keep the load moving.

    Cable & terminal service

Corroded top-posts, loose lugs, and burned terminals cleaned or replaced. Half of no-crank diesels are a $0 parts problem hiding as a dead battery.

    DEF & diesel delivery

If the tractor cranks but won't run, we can dispatch fuel or DEF to the shoulder so you don't tow for an empty tank.

    Commercial truck lockout

Keys on the seat of a Peterbilt at a Love's? We open commercial cabs damage-free — same rate as a passenger lockout.

    DFW commercial service area

We stage trucks around the metro's freight corridors — AllianceTexas, the DFW Airport cargo apron, the Great Southwest Industrial District, South Dallas logistics parks, and the Lancaster truck terminals — plus every major truck stop (Love's, Pilot, TA) on I-20, I-30, I-35E/W, I-45, and US-287.
